What personal data we collect from you and why
We may collect personal data from you such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and emergency contact information when you purchase services with Yew Yoga. Yew Yoga keeps a record of this information for business and tax purposes. If we require your personal data to fulfil a contract with you, we may be unable to fulfil the contract without your personal data.
We will also request the completion of a Health Form. Health information is used to tailor sessions to meet your individual needs.
We will not share your data save as required by law, however it is stored on relevant systems such as cloud systems, our website, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, and accounting systems which are GDPR compliant.
We store sensitive data for 7 years from the date of your last class with Yew Yoga or as long as projects are in progress and customers remain active clients. Email addresses provided via Mailchimp are stored until consent is withdrawn, reconsent is requested every 2 years. Information required for tax and legal requirements are held for 7 years as a requirement by law.
We keep a record of any services you take from us, so we can help to deal with any enquiries or problems you may have in the future, and so we can ensure that any information that we send to you is appropriate. Personal data that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.
When you book a class with Yew Yoga we may ask whether you’d like to consent to us displaying your testimonials as part of our marketing materials either anonymously or including your name. You may request to have your personal data removed at any time and we are more than happy to comply within 14 working days.
